An apprentice of Mad Professor, Joe’s first touch with music was as a two year old when he plugged a guitar amp into his father’s mixing desk. Being privileged to be the son of a renowned artist/technician, Joe has learned most of his skills at the knee of an excellent teacher.
Growing up in and around Mad Professor’s infamous Ariwa Studios, Joe quickly developed the skills and technical know-how required to engineer, mix and produce forward thinking dub music with a solid roots foundation.
Joe has a string of releases under his belt featuring collaborations with legendary reggae artists including Horace Andy, Dennis Bovell, Earl 16, Michael Prophet and of course Mad Professor himself. Recently, Joe has been touring the world with General Levy.
